Essential Skills

Job Description
The AWS Quicksight Developer is involved in the full technology life cycle and is responsible for working with clients to implement QuickSight datasets, analysis, and dashboard report designs, query creation, coding, automating, configuring, testing, implementing, and supporting AWS RDS and MySQL DB functions and tasks.
You will work closely with US stakeholders, technical architects, data engineers, data analysts, and developers to understand the business requirements that drive the creation of the reports.
Duties
- Participate in a cross-functional team to design, build, test, and deploy complex analytical solutions utilizing QuickSight.
- Must be able to collaborate closely with US stakeholders on (technical) requirements and report designs.
- Perform detailed analysis of source systems and source system data and model that data in Quicksight.
- Design, develop, and test QuickSight dashboards to meet customer requirements.
- Experience with AWS data technology products and AWS environment S3, IAM policies, roles, RDS, Redshift, and Glue.
- Strong SQL skills for data wrangling, querying, and transformation with AWS Athenas.
- Interpret written business requirements and technical specification documents.
- Create and maintain technical design documentation.
- Perform quality coding to business and technical specifications.
- Thorough understanding of relational databases, T-SQL scripting, database normalization best practices, database technologies, and concepts
- Experience with performance tuning and Query Optimization
- Proficient with SQL Development – ability to write and troubleshoot SQL code and design (stored procs, functions, tables, views, triggers, indexes, constraints)
- Experience troubleshooting and resolving database integrity and performance issues
- Database design in a software development environment as a contributor
- Experience with SQL server transactional replication; troubleshooting
Minimum Relevant Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Information Technology or equivalent experience paired with at least five (5) years’ experience with AWS Quicksight Development and;
- Advanced experience and knowledge of MS SQL, performance tuning, and query optimization.
